| In a way Daddy Donkey started back when I was studying Spanish in Mexico. In fact I think I spent more time at all the amazing Mexican street food stalls than I did in class. But it wasn’t until I came back to London that I realized the lack of fresh Mexican food. And how much I missed Mexican
street food culture. So in the summer of 2005 I quit my drab day job & started my own little tortilla stand on Leather Lane Market, making fresh burritos packed full of high quality ingredients. But to be honest, our tortilla stand is not so little anymore. Our rickety wooden market barrow has long been traded in for a sparkly burro-mobile designed to help us serve you guys much faster than before. However, just because we serve our food quicker than before doesn't make it any less healthy. That's because the idea behind the preparation of our food has always remained the same: to create slowly cooked, fresh, natural Mexican street food. In other words, we spend hours preparing everything from scratch everyday & serve it all right there in front of you in seconds. Fresh Mexican food, served like Speedy Gonzalez! |
